Main
responsibilities:
1. To be responsible for the publicity and
implementation of the guidelines and policies and enforcement of
laws, rules and regulations related to the city appearance,
environment sanitation and afforestation administration work; and
draw up the implementation program for the administration of the
city appearance, environment sanitation and afforestation in the
district in the light of the actual circumstances of the
district.
2. To draw up the professional planning, medium-
and long-term development plans as well as the annual plan for the
administration of the city appearance, environment sanitation and
afforestation work in accordance with the overall development plan
of the Qingpu District and carry out their implementation.
3.
To administer in a unified way the work of the city appearance,
environment sanitation and afforestation; to carry out the
supervision and examination of the administration of public works,
environment sanitation and afforesation work in accordance with the
law and to be responsible for the supervision, monitoring and
administration of the comprehensive law-enforcement of the district
urban administration.
4. To be responsible for supervising
and administering the city appearance, environment sanitation, the
external landscaping of buildings and structures, the treatment of
construction and engineering garbage, construction engineering and
decoration work, in relation to the environment sanitation and city
appearance.
5. To be responsible for the relevant
administration of the landscape lighting and outdoor advertisements;
to organize and coordinate the city appearance and environment
sanitation work in the time of important festivals and major
activities in the district.
6. To be responsible for
directing the towns in their professional work concerning public
works, environment sanitation, the afforestation in market towns and
to carry out exchanges and cooperation between regions and between
towns.
7. To be responsible for administrative
reconsideration and administrative response to relevant
lawsuits.
8. To undertake other matters assigned by the
district government.
