Qingpu District is continuously perfecting its multi-leveled social insurance system. The district is conscientiously implementing and has made active propaganda for the "Town Insurance" by holding training courses on insurance business with a result that 1,881 individuals from the first batch of 342 enterprises have applied for the "Town Insurance".
Rural social endowment insurance has been promoted steadily with a result that 122,000 individuals applied and paid for it in the whole district of the year and the application rate reached 91.6 %.
    Altogether 76,000 individuals from 4,020 enterprises, organizations and private industrial or commercial entrepreneurs of the town have applied for the basic endowment insurance. 20,000 retired or honorably-retired individuals have participated in the wholly-planned social endowment insurance and the pension is distributed in a socialized way. The socialized distribution rate has reached 100 %.
