The
district continues to carry out the strategy of "Developing the
District with Science and Education" with the key aim to promote the
creativity of science and technology in the area. Qingpu District
passed the examination of "Nationwide Advanced District In Science
and Technology Improvement" of provincial grade in 2003, and
is applying to the State Ministry of Science and Technology for the
re-examination.
High-tech industry is
developing continuously with remarkable increase of locally-run
enterprises of science and technology. Qingpu District has owned now
over 60 high-tech enterprises certified by Shanghai Municipality and
has applied for the result-transformation of 30 items of high-tech
achievements among which 23 have got approved. There appeared 641
more locally-run enterprises of science and technology in the year,
making the total sum of 1,578 locally-run
enterprises.
In 2003 the enterprises from
Qingpu Distric applied to China International Patent & Brand
Expo for 8 creativity patents of municipal grade, among which 5 got
succeeded.
