 Adhering to the principle
of unity, stability, encouragement and positive propaganda, the
broadcasting and television work of the district in 2003 was well
controlled with the stress in propaganda to focus and expose the hot
points and key concerns of the masses.
The
cultural work achieved fruitful results in combined development of
public welfare culture and social culture, taking the melody culture
as the guideline and the community culture as the focus. In 2003 the
whole district staged 398 shows of public recreation activities with
participants close to 500,000 in number, and staged 199 performances
created by the masses, among which 47 received various awards by the
municipality, and 2 of which received national awards. The district
library accommodated 145,000 readers and lent out 127,000 books in
the whole year. It also organized 20 times of recreation activities
such as calligraphy and painting shows, 2,415 movie shows. The
audience reached 681,000 in
number.
