Qingpu District has improved its public services by addressing the management of the Party and government departments, tackling the frequently complained issues through special governance and introducing policies of improving the government working mechanism. It has also launched special governance for the construction of a clean and honest Communist Party with the orientation of "controlling personnel who get fiscally paid, implementing public transportation reform and strengthening the management of public expenses." The establishment of the Qingpu District Administrative Complaint Center has enhanced the supervision over institutions and civil servants. Meanwhile, Qingpu District improved the working efficiency of the government staff by the e-government construction. The Qingpu Government now boasts 59 branch websites with nearly 270,000 web pages. Some 50 columns such as the "government working highlight", the "government information transparency", the "online inquiry" and the "online formalities", with the release of more than 5,300 pieces of information, has attracted 1.188 million clicks per year, 92.229 million clicks totally. By the end of last year, 31 informatization activity rooms had been built for the villagers.
