Recently, over 50 people
including general managers of major travel agencies and personnel of
mainstream media in Nantong, Yancheng and Lianyungang of Jiangsu
Province were invited to tour the major scenic resorts (spots) and
star hotels in Qingpu District.
The visitors, on a crowded schedule for their tour, were
attracted by Qingpu's tourism resources and products. After visiting
Zhujiajiao Town, everyone agreed that the new tourism marketing,
which combined sightseeing and inspection, enabled Jiangsu tourists
to have a direct access to the tourism spots in Qingpu. It would
also minimize the distance between tourists and scenic spots, and
help them to work out marketable tourism products. At a business
fair that followed, Jiangsu's tourism enterprises went to the booths
of Qingpu's tourism enterprises one by one, eating snacks and
negotiating business in a relaxing atmosphere. Thanks to the
platform built by the government, tourism enterprises can now take
the initiative in their promotion work by having a say other than
mere participation. The fair became the site of promoting brand
image and communicating with old and new clients.
It is learned that thanks to the recent opening of Sutong Bridge,
a car drive from Yancheng area of Jiangsu Province to Shanghai is
shortened by 1.5 to 2 hours. The bridge economy is budding as local
residents are eager to visit Shanghai for shopping or vacation.
Shanghai shopping tour, popular in Yancheng area, owes the flow of
tourists to the opening of Sutong Changjiang Highway Bridge and the
unprecedented traffic accessibilities. The convenient traffic will
promote the development of an integrated tourism market in the
Yangtze River Delta.
