Government, a large-scale Dragon Boat Festival Folk-custom Activity
was held in the town on June 8. The activity characteristic of rich
folk tradition turned out to be a feast for the eyes of the local
residents and tourists from various areas by displaying Zhujiajiao's
charm in mixing traditional culture and modern attractions.
Much to the delight of the tourists, such traditional activities
of Dragon Boat Festival as making pyramid-shaped rice puddings in
reed leaves and buying realgar liquor were popular in Zhujiajiao.
Around the festival, local activities like Dragon Boat Racing and
Handicraft Festival not only held the tourists spell-bound but also
reminded local residents of happy memories about the festival.
Held on the night of the Dragon Boat Festival, a large-scale show
also attracted thousands of residents and tourists. The Standing
Member of the Qingpu District Party Committee and also Publicity
Department Head Sun Ping attended the show together with the
residents.
The flawless blending of traditional culture and modern
attractions at the Zhujiajiao Dragon Boat Festival, such as the
little bridges, quiet creeks, village houses, pyramid-shaped rice
puddings, dragon boat, picture drawing, to name only a few, offered
a delight for the eyes with untold glamour.
