The International Awards
for Livable Communities (formerly "Nations in Bloom"), being the
highest awards for human's habitation civilization, with the title
of "Green Oscar", is held worldwide each year. Currently, Zhujiajiao
Town in Qingpu District has officially declared its bidding for the
contest this year.
At the recent start-up ceremony of Zhujiajiao's establishment of
"Nations in Bloom", a signature campaign themed as "Water Town of
China Reflects the Beauty of Southern Area of the Yangtze River",
was launched at Zhujiajiao Plaza for the citizens to support
Zhujiajiao's bidding. As soon as the banner of establishing the
"Nations in Bloom" was stretched, the citizens vied to be the first
to sign their names on the huge banner, which encourages
Zhujiajiao's ambition of being "Nations in Bloom". Tourists at
Zhujiajiao, attracted by the grand occasion, participated in the
signature campaign.
In recently years, thanks to the urban development, Zhujiajiao
has won the titles of Chinese Famous Historical and Cultural Town,
National AAAA Tourist Attraction, National Garden Town, National
Environmental Elegant Town, National Healthy Town, and Living
Environment Example Award. All this has laid a solid foundation for
the Town toward the goal of "Nations in Bloom".
