The ground-breaking of the Xujing Metro Station kicks off the Hongqiao comprehensive transportation hub project in the Qingpu District. The Xujing Station, Qingpu's largest invested transport infrastructure project since the founding of new China, will, upon completion, greatly improve Qingpu's external transport and facilitate its citizens to go out. More importantly, it will bring advantages into and play a leading model role in driving the development and growth of east Qingpu's modern service industry to serve the Yangtze River Delta and other parts of China and create new urban business room for Shanghai.
