Qingpu District has seen
704 patent applications in the first half of 2008, with a
year-on-year increase of 34%. Among them, there are 224 invention
patents with a year-on-year increase of 100%, 247 utility model
patents and 233 design patents.
Thanks to the positive patent pilot work in the technology
enterprises and the subsidy policy for the patent application fee,
the District's patent applications have witnessed a substantial
increase in recent years. Now, the District boasts 77 patent-pilot
and patent-cultivatable enterprises at the district-level and the
city-level, being the main force for patent applications.
Specifically, the 77 enterprises' 355 patent applications in the
first half of 2008, accounting for 50.4% of the District's total
patent applications, have played a leading role.
The "Qingpu's Subsidy Measures on Patent Application Fee",
jointly promulgated by the Qingpu District Intellectual Property
Bureau and the Qingpu District Finance Bureau in the first half of
this year, has enhanced the financial support to the patent
applications, with the RMB565,200 subsidy for 541 patents.
