The Commission of Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and Overseas Chinese and the Commission of Ethnic and Religion of the CPPCC District Committee have recently organized members to carry out investigation themed with “Appreciating Changes, Seeking Development and Facilitating Leap forward”, with a discussion forum held.
Admiring Qingpu West Outskirt Park (the Park for short) and Rainbow Bridge of Dianshan Lake, the members learnt about relevant plans and introduction about the Park, and had a taste of rice paste made by Wadao rice of agriculture products from Qingpu featured brands and tea. Feasting eyes on such attractive nature landscapes as Red Pomelo Culture Park, aquatic forest, wetlands, egrets flying through China firs and ferrying with peach blossoms scattered on lakes afterwards, the members enjoyably roamed around the natural oxygen bar, and fully affirmed the Park’s dominance integrating social efficiency, ecological efficiency and economic efficiency. Investigating Rainbow Bridge of Dianshan Lake, the surrounding wetlands and flood-control dykes, they extended heartfelt appreciation toward measures on shoreline of Dianshan Lake, ecological repairing and restoring lakes to the public.
Heading toward Qingpu Museum, the members truly touched its culture deposits and cutting-edge technologies, learning the long and brilliant history of ancient Shanghai evolving from culture of Majiabang, Songze, Liangzhu and Maqiao to the Spring and Autumn Period as well as the Western Han and Eastern Han Dynasties.
Rao Feiwen, Vice Chair of the CPPCC District Committee, attended the investigation.
