Jointly established by the People’s Government of Zhujiajiao Town, Heluting Advanced Research Institute of China Conservatory of Music, and the Protection and Research Center for China Music Intangible Cultural Heritage, the Zhujiajiao Jiangnan Music Inheritance and Practice Base was unveiled at Shangduli on the morning of May 3.
Wang Lingyu, Deputy District Governor, and Wang Rui, Deputy Party Chief of Shanghai Conservatory of Music co-unveiled the base.
After establishment, the district will further promote to inherit and carry forward intangible music, improve traveling value of Jiangnan ancient town, and build high-end music culture town.
As a great town for history, travelling and music, Zhujiajiao Town boasts of enriched culture, gaining great honor at home and abroad. Traditional Jiangnan music is the historical culture in Zhujiajiao. The establishment of the base will play a positive role in the construction of the featured town and that of the 5A scenery spot in Zhujiajiao.
