The Shanghai Tourism Festival will be held from September 15 to October 6 this year, which includes such 74 programs as the series of activities that help to highlight the “four major brands” in Shanghai, series of activities of Huangpu River tourism, and series of activities to promote the tourism integration of the Yangtze River Delta. During the festival, 75 main scenic spots in Shanghai will offer half-price discounts, and 4 in the district will also offer the preference.
The 4 main scenic spots of the district offering half-price preference are the Oriental Land, Zhujiajiao Watertown, Shanghai Grand View Garden and Shanghai Jingui Island Resort.
As the national ecological tourism demonstration area, the Oriental Land is the only large park in Shanghai that integrates outdoor training, social practices for youths, team activities and leisure tourism.
Known as the largest town in Shanghai, Zhujiajiao Town has a long history and rich tourism resources. It was listed as one of the four famous historical and cultural towns in Shanghai in 1991, and it has been long known as the “Venice in Shanghai” and “Hollywood in outskirts of Shanghai”.
The Shanghai Grand View Garden is a large-scale garden in the style of the ancients designed according to the description of the famous Chinese masterpiece the Dream of Red Mansions in the Qing Dynasty. It is a comprehensive amusement park for sightseeing, tourism and leisure, and it has won such honorary titles as the top 10 characteristic tourism gardens and the advanced collective of national scenic spots.
Located in Jinze Town, the national 3A scenic area of Shanghai Jingui Island Resort covers an area of 400 mu. The natural waters of the island, century-old trees, various tree stumps and bonsai, and great stone scenery provide a good natural environment for the resort.
