Jointly organized by Qing Art Space (QAS), the Publicity Department of the CPC Qingpu District Committee, the Zhujiajiao Town Government, and Public Art Cooperation Center of Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, the art exhibition entitled Land-schaft has recently opened at QAS in Zhujiajiao, with 16 famous artists from home and abroad gathering together to communicate on works and collections and to engage in dialogue with art.
Among the hundreds of works on display, there are old photos from World War II collected by artists and handset pictures improvised by visitors while going sightseeing in Zhujiajiao Watertown. Pieced with photos of famous scenic spots at home and abroad by artists, the landscape picture brightens the art exhibition. Through scanning the QR code at the exhibition scene to complete the “tour by cellphone/camera” in Zhujiajiao, visitors can admire all the scenic spots of Zhujiajiao and appreciate the cultural history of the watertown. The island made by 3D computer modeling, or the long-scroll mountain-river painting pieced with thousands of old photos of landscapes by artists, which all present a new perspective on the landscapes, both refresh the visitors. The art exhibition is not only a collision between Chinese and foreign culture and art, but also a time-space dialogue of artists.
The development of tourism has made the watertown tend to a nostalgic theme park in recent years. The picture describing that a rural cottage stands near a little bridge over a murmuring brook is presented in a vivid manner, and various tourist economies have emerged. Themed on land-schaft, the QAS attempts to discuss the differences of cultural structure between modern cities and ancient towns, and to discuss the similarities and differences of concepts of mountains and rivers, scenery, and landscapes, so as to create a different tour in the watertown. The art exhibition is expected to last until the end of December. Come to appreciate the exhibition at QAS of Zhujiajiao.
