Commissioned by the Mayor of Kashima in Saga Prefecture, Hitomi Kakuta, Vice President of the Kashima Council of Japan, has recently led the Kashima delegation to pay a friendly visit to Qingpu.
Tao Xiafang, Vice Chair of the Standing Committee of the District People’s Congress, and principals of the District People’s Congress General Office and the District Foreign Affairs Office, met with the delegation. Since launching friendly exchanges in 2014, Qingpu and Kashima have carried out a number of friendly exchange activities. During the period, the two sides actively promote to establish the relation of friendship city between them, further expand the exchange of friendship city to arrays of fields including agriculture, education, culture, sports and health, and promote orderly and diversified people-to-people friendly exchanges through the governmental visits.
The delegation briefed on the economic and social development of Kashima in recent years, and expected that the two sides would be prosperous with the everlasting friendship.
