Dianshanhu Lake: Dianshan Lake
scenic area, located in Qingpu District, in the western
suburb of Shanghai, was named after the Dianshan Hill in
the east of the lake. The lake has a total area of 62
sq.km, twelve times that of the West Lake in Hangzhou.
It is the largest fresh water lake in Shanghai. The
Dianshanhu Lake scenic area was developed in the '80s of
the last century. Through many years of construction and
expansion, it has become the largest tourist area in
Shanghai. Ancient town of
Zhujiajiao: With the 9-peak North Hill at the back and
by the Dianshanhu Lake, the 47-sq.km, thousand-year old,
famous ancient town of Zhujiajiao is like a glistening
pearl on the lake. The town is criss-crossed by rivers,
along which run 9 long streets with over a thousand
ancient dwellings of the Ming and Qing Dynasty
architecture. There are 36 ancient stone bridges
spanning the rivers and historical sites and scenic
spots are found everywhere.
Qushui Garden (Garden of Meandering
Stream): Located in Qingpu Town of Qingpu
District, on the Yin River in the east, next to the City
God Temple in the west, the garden, formerly a temple
garden, was built during the Qing Dynasty (1745). With a
history of more than 200 years it is one of the ancient

Sunny Island: Located in Zhujiajiao
in Qinpu District, in an area with 3 lakes and 9 hills,
was overall planned for construction and modernized in
1993. It is, now, an international-grade,

international-standard 18-hole golf course. The resort
combines tourism, holiday leisure, sports, convention,

1997, it was appraised by the Interval International as

Orient Green Boat: This after-school
camp for youngsters, by the beautiful Dianshanhu Lake,
occupies an area of 380 hectares (including water
surface). The camp consists of 8 major areas, namely,
the areas of Knowledge Boulevard, Bravery and Wisdom,
Education on National Defense, Challenge to Survival,
Scientific Exploration, Water Sports, Sports Training
and Practice in Living. In the area of the Knowledge
Boulevard are 162 sculptures of world-renown celebrities
in the history of world civilization. It is, at present,

Former Residence of Chen Yun: Chen
Yun's Former Residence, together with the Memorial Hall
of Qingpu Revolutionary History, is a special
biographical museum, built with the approval of the
Central Government for the systematic display of Chen
Yun's revolutionary life story. The museum was completed

Grand View Garden: Shanghai Grand
View Garden took 10 years from 1979 to complete and
opened to the public in 1988. Located by the Dianshanhu
Lake, it is a reproduction of the garden in the Chinese
classic "Dream of the Red Mansions". The reproduction of
the Red Mansion art, seeking the common concept of
