Qingpu District is continuously perfecting its multi-leveled social insurance system. The district is conscientiously implementing and has made active propaganda for the "Town Insurance" by holding training courses on insurance business with a result that 1,881 individuals from the first batch of 342 enterprises have applied for the "Town Insurance".

>> Welfare and Relief
Qingpu District has actively promoted welfare socialization by speeding up the construction of bead-house facilities for the aged and probed the way of providing service for the aged in their homes. Making good use of the "Star Light Plan", the district enhanced the renovation of the poorly-equipped bead-houses, and brought 6 bead-houses of Yingzhong bead-house, Xicen and Jinze bead-houses of Qingpu Town into the third phase of "Star Light Plan" and into the list of municipal practical projects.
